Day Camp 2013

Day Camp is a great way for your son to experience the thrill of the outdoors and is a good introduction to independence from Mom & Dad without being to far from home. The week long program fills each day with adventure and the experiences for which boys join Scouting. Activities include archery, BB, Boating, Swimming, crafts, and many more. All Day Camps offer extended hours for families whose schedule doe not fit into the 9AM to 4PM timne frame.

Day Camps are grographically located throughout the Narragansett Council for the convenience of Scouting families. Each week offers a different theme to keep the excitement going all summer long. Scouts may attend any week at any location, just choose what fits your schedule. Back again is our always popular Second Week, Half Price Special. Also, new for 2013 we have added STEM Week (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) the first week of July, so now you can enjoy camp every week of the summer at Camp Champlin.

Cost of Attending Camp

Spring Break Week pricing is per day. You may register for just one day, or as many as you like. Just pick the days that work for you!

$165 per Scout for the entire Week ($33 per day)

$25 aditional for "Extended Hours" 8AM to 9AM and 4PM to 6PM ($5 per day)

You May also register for additional weeks for HALF PRICE!

STEM Week pricing is per Day (No camp on July 4). You may register to come just one day, or all four. Just pick the days that work for you!

Zoo Camp at Buttonwood Zoo costs $250 for the week ($125 if it's your second week)

Camp Fee includes one Day Camp T-Shirt, Day Camp Patch, all program supplies & equipment and one outstanding week of fun, adventure, new friends, and a lifetime of memories!

Extras such as additional T-Shirts and Patches can be ordered at the time of registration. All extra Items must be ordered by 7/1/13 to ensure delivery on the first day of camp.

Extended Hours Day Camp

Extended hours will run from 8AM to 9AM and 4:00PM to 6:00PM. The afternoon extended session runs Monday through Thursday. The fee for extended hours day camp is a flat rate of $25 for the entire week. There are a limited amount of spaces for extended hours. There is NO adult supervision provided before 8:00AM nor after 6:00PM

All Summer Day Camp at Camp Champlin

We are proud to offer all summer Day Camp for parents who need a full summer program for their kids, and want them in a program that is values-based, combats summer learning loss, is affordable, and Fun! You may register for all summer day camp with one registration. Just simply pick Camp Champlin and select all 8 weeks. Be sure to select the "Half Price" Option after you select your first week at full price.

BONUS: Register for all summer Day Camp by April 15 and receive a FREE week at April Vacation Day Camp!

Multiple Weeks

For those boys that may not want to attend Day Camp all summer, but one week at Day Camp is just not enough. We welcome boys to return for multiple weeks at HALF PRICE. You may mix and match what camps you attend and still get the discount. Just select the half price option when you regsiter for multiple weeks.

Camp Staff

Day Camps are operated by Council volunteers selected to be on Day Camp Staff, as well as Council Professional Staff. Every staff member is a registered member of the BSA, has recevied a background check, and has completed youth protection training.. Camp Management is certified by the BSA's National Camping School in Day Camp Management and all Staff are trained to ensure your son will have a safe, fun and exciting week of camp. Registration - Improved for 2013

On the next screen you will be given the option to create an account if you don't have one. If you create an account you will be able to log-in to make payments, add additional weeks, and make other changes. This will make it much easier to register for multiple weeks since you wont have to re-enter al of yourt information. If you'd prefer not to create an account you don't have too.

In order to register please make sure you have all your Scouts information ready, including what grade and rank he will be when he starts school in September 2013, immunization records and what T-Shirt size your Scout will need.
