Animal Science Merit Badge

Earn either Dairy Cattle, Horse, or Sheep options on a real working farm

We are excited to announce this new progam with our partners at the Coggeshall Farm Museum

The workshop will last three hours.  The first part will cover the general animal requirements for the merit badge and be conducted by Dr. Anna Portnoy, DVM.  She is an excellent large and small animal vet and a Board member of Coggeshall Farm Museum.  The second part will break out into three groups covering requirements for specific species  1) Dairy Cattle, 2) Horses, and 3) Sheep; those sessions will be run by members of the Coggeshall Farm staff.  Scouts should sign up for ONE animal and there is a limit of 10 Scouts per Animal Option.
