Game Design Merit Badge 

WHO - This event is for Scouts BSA members. 

WHAT - Scouts will work with and learn from the best game designer’s in the field! Hasbro is the largest toy maker in the world and known for brands like Nerf, Monopoly, Transformers, Mr. Potato Head, Play Dough and more! Scouts will learn about game formatting, creating game rules, thematic elements, gameplay and career paths in the field. Best of all, Scouts work with professional designers to create, play and test their very own, original game ideas!

Scouts must bring a blue card completed by their unit leader, paper and pen/pencil. Merit Badge Pamphlets will be provided.

WHERE -  Hasbro Inc. 1027 Newport Ave. Pawtucket, RI 02861     

Parking - Participants can park in the smaller visitor lot located directly across from the main entrance at 1027 Newport Ave (it’s the one with the giant Mr. Potato Head statue), or in one of the two larger parking lots behind the building (with entrances on Hasbro Way). Enter at the main entrance, located at the corner of Hasbro Way and Newport Ave, and check in with security at the front desk.

Thank you for signing-up for the Game Design merit badge on February 18^th. We are very excited to partner with Hasbro on this event! We want to make sure that participants spend as much time as possible working with the game design experts on hands-on projects. To allow sufficient time, participants must complete requirements 1 and 4 at home.

Lunch is NOT provided. There is a cafeteria on site as well as a Starbucks with pastries and a few lunch items. 

Please come dressed in full Class-A uniform
