Stay Camp is a five-day program running Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-12:30 PM. Campers register for one week of program and can sign-up for as many weeks as they'd like.

What: Stay Camp is Narragansett Council's 2020 Cub Scout summer program opportunity. Campers will participate in hands-on, interactive daily activities. Each camper will be mailed a Camp Box. Camp Box includes materials and kits for daily activities with instructions specific for that week's theme, a 2020 Stay Camp patch, and a voucher for an in-person Camp Adventure in Fall 2020.

Stay Camp Schedule:

9:00 AM Live virtual camp-wide opening ceremony including flag-raising and camp-director announcements.

9:10-9:35 AM Den Time. Campers work with other Scout's their same age under the guidance of den leaders and receive instructions for that day's activity

9:35-11:45 AM Campers are dismissed to complete that day's adventure (materials included in Camp Box)

11:45 AM-12:20 PM* Den Time. Dens come together to share their achievements for the day and work on interactive den projects.

12:20 PM- 12:30 PM Camp-wide closing ceremony lead by Camp Director including flag-lowering and closing messages.

* Friday's will host a closing ceremony that includes Den awards, skits, and songs lead by campers. Families are encouraged to attend.

Each week includes advancement opportunities and awards for every rank. Hands-on, high-quality activities will keep campers engaged and smiling. Every week campers will engage in a community service project that will help their neighbors and teach campers about Service.

Why:  Kids join Scouts for the adventure! While we can't be together in-person we are still excited to offer the Summer Scouting experience! Activities are hands-on, challenging, and outdoor-based (regardless of where you live). A week of Stay Camp is more than just fun, Stay Camp will help campers

  • Boost self-esteem
  • Connect to the world around them
  • Develop independence
  • Instill leadership skills
  • get kids active
  • Develop interest in future careers
  • Reinforce learning and eliminate summer learning loss.
