Cub Scout Iditarod

WHO - This event is for Cub Scouts.

WHAT - The Cub Scout Iditarod is an annual winter event based on the heritage and history of the Alaskan Gold Rush and the trials of the great dog sled racers of the Iditarod. The event is designed for teams to go from station to station with a traditional Klondike sled to test their skills and leadership abilities in the outdoor winter environment. All while having fun outside!

WHERE - Camp Norse - 112 Parting Ways Road Kingston, MA 02364

Check-in located in the Admin Building, which is located next to the parking lot.

Parking: Enter the road for Camp Norse and you will see a house and a metal maintenance building on your left. Keep driving through the stone gateway. To the left is a large parking lot - that is where you will leave your car for the duration of the event. 

WHY - The Iditarod will give Cub Scouts the opportunity to work on outdoor survival skills - particularly those required for winter conditions as well as the opportunity to work as a team at various stations and activities throughout camp. Cub Scouts will leave camp with a patch to show off their accomplishments!
