Prerequisites: Requirement 5(c),(3)(a)Collect 10 different rocks or minerals. Record in a notebook where you obtained (found, bought, traded) each one. Label each specimen, identify its class and possible origin, determine its chemical composition, and list its physical properties. (Bring it to Merit Badge College).

Gary Hemphill

Mr. Hemphill holds a BS and MS in Metallurgical Engineering. A registered Scouter, Gary
has been a Den Leader, Webelos Leader, ASM, District Activity Committee Chair for 7
years, and currently serves on his Troop Committee .

Gary Dowrey

Mr. Dowrey is currently SM for Troop 1 Blackstone, where he was the Troop CC for 2 years. Mr. Dowrey has been on camp staff at Yagoog as well as being a Buck Hill campmaster.
