Read the Merit Badge book. Print the workbook and use it to make notes for discussion. Check the newspaper and other sources for related articles on disabilities and be prepared to discuss them. Participation in discussions is an important part of this course.

Paul Kelley

Paul Kelley has been a Scout Leader since 1988, serving both in Cub Scouts and Boy
Scouts. Paul is the Scoutmaster of Troop 22 Cranston, serving since 1992. In 2001 a
broken leg and its complications demonstrated some of what disabled persons go through
each day, and brought about an interest in teaching this badge.
