Prerequisites:  Before starting work on any other requirements for this merit bage, write in your own words the meaning of sustainability.  Explain how you think conservation and stewardship of our natural resources relate to sustainability.  Have a family meeting, and ask family members to write down what they think sustainability means.   Be sure to take notes. You will need this information again for requirement 5. SCOUT MUST BRING HIS WRITING TO MB CLASS.

Stehanie Lussier

Stephanie Lussier has been a scouter in Old Colony Council for 7 years.  She has served as a merit badge counselor at both Merit Badge University and Merit Badge College.  Her respect and love for nature began in her childhood days working on a farm in Upton, MA.  She brings this enthusiasm to scouting by  instructing Scouts earnting the "green" merit badges.

Marcel Lucier

Marcel Lussier has been a scouter in Old Colony Council for 10 years.  He has served as a merit badge counselor at both Merit Badge University and Merit Badge College.  He is employed by RI Resource Recovery in the Recyvling Division and shares his experiences to "Save the Planet" with Scouts earning the "green" merit badges.
