Prereq:

Read the Merit Badge Book and Print the workbook and use it to make notes for discussion. Be prepared to discuss the role of a SAR Responder. A working K9 will join us in class.

RI Canine Search & Rescue, RI Task Force. Jen Anderson is a Wilderness, Cadaver and Light Disaster Instructor for IPWDA and RICSAR. She has 30 years of experience in SAR, K-9 training and first response. She has deployed on searches in NE & disasters including Katrina, Nemo, RI 2010 Floods, etc. She is also a member of Veterinary Tactical Group. She will be joined by RISCAR teammate, Jim Rawley, who is President of RISCAR and also an IPW and RISCAR instructor. Jim works his two labs, Major and Cole and a German Shepherd Apollo.
