Family Camp at Camp Norse

Outdoor adventure for your entire family

Whether you are an avid camper or have never slept a night out in a tent, family camp is the perfect opportunity to enjoy all that Camp Norse has to offer! Open to all families with at least one registered member of the BSA. You can enjoy 2 nights as a full Pack, den, or as a family. Our dining hall is in full swing and will provide all of your meals, great songs, and always that Camp Norse Spirit! Enjoy making crafts, cool science experiments, swimming in the pool, lounging on our beach, going fishing, shooting, archery, axe throwing, outdoor skills and so much more. Family Camping at Camp Norse is perfect for all families, regardless of their experience or comfort in the outdoors. We provide hot showers, flush toilets, running water, access to electricity, warm meals and so much more.

Camp Norse is a BSA accredited camp. As registered members of the Boy Scouts of America, our staff are Youth Protection Trained and prepared to safely lead your families adventure. Families are encouraged to bring their own tents. Don’t own a tent? No problem, we have tents you can borrow. We also offer cabins, Adirondack shelters, and teepees! It is fun for the entire family!

Packages and Accommodations

Tent Camping

Tent Camping is our most basic package. Families who select tent camping will be assigned a campsite and will have the freedom to set up their campsite how they see fit. Families who opt for this package arrive with all of their own gear. First time? That is okay! One of our friendly staff will assist in helping set up your campsite and help you learn the ropes of assembling your tent.

Cabin or Teepee Camping

Our Teepee or Cabin Camping package are preset sites, all a family needs to do is show up to camp with their personal gear and they are ready to go! Get the full experience of sleeping in a Native American teepee. Not ready for the bugs and lack of electricity? Select one our cabins, complete with electricity, windows, and doors! Teepee and Cabin packages include fans, electricity, and site chairs.

Teepees sleep 3 guests each on mattresses.

Cabins sleep 8 guests each bunk bed style with mattresses.

Model Campsite

Introducing our Model Campsite package for 2023! First time camping? Maybe you do not have all of the necessary gear to come camping for a weekend with your family. Or perhaps you just want to bring your personal gear and arrive for a fun filled weekend without the hassle of setting up your site. Camp Norse has got you covered! Our Model Campsite package comes complete with everything you need to enjoy the perfect weekend. Complete with a tent, cots, lanterns, camp chairs, pre set firepit with wood, clothesline and more! All a family needs to bring is personal gear and a sleeping bag and you will be ready to go. Oh and we forgot to mention a complimentary s’mores kit!

Dining Hall and Food Service

At Family Camp we pride ourselves in offering a balanced meal at all 5 of our services. Our kitchen staff is Serve Safe certified to ensure that each meal is served safely.

Our coffee machine runs all day, as well as an offering of assorted fruits made available for whenever throughout the day.

Webelos Weekend Adventure at Camp Norse

Come to Camp Norse this summer for Webelos Weekend Adventure. This program has all the fun and action of a week of camp packed into one weekend. All the meals and programs are provided.

Scouts will have the opportunity to complete advancements while learning to work together as a patrol. Campers will take their next steps toward becoming Scouts BSA while enjoying activities like fishing, swimming, boating, BB, archery, axe-throwing and much more! In addition, since it is a weekend, parents and siblings can join in on the fun! Parents or a Pack leader are required to attend with the youth.

Families may bring their own tents or are welcome to take advantage of our accommodations if needed. We offer tents, cabins, and teepees along with the amenities of home which include showers, flush toilets, running water and hot meals.
