Nuclear Science Merit Badge at URI
WHO - This event for is Scouts BSA members.
Masks are required for all participants.
WHAT - Scouts have the unique opportunity to work and learn with Nuclear Scientists at the only nuclear research reactor in Rhode Island.

Merit Badge pamphlets will be provided. Participants should bring pad and paper. To ensure a safe secure experience, the following is required:
All visitors over the age of 18 must present a current government photo ID prior to entering the facility.
Long pants are required.
Closed toe shoes are required.
Electronic devices (cameras, cell phones, laptops, etc...) are prohibited from entering the reactor building during tours.
Packages (backpacks, purses, diaper bags, etc...) are prohibited from entering the reactor building during tours.
Although personal belongings may be left in the classroom during visits, the staff suggests all non-essential items be left outside during a tour. Visitors are responsible for any personal items brought into the facility.
An accurate list of tourists coming with your group is requested prior to the date of the tour.
All visitors must comply with the instructions of the staff at all times while touring the facility.

Please come dressed in full Class A uniform! (no shorts)
