Northwest District Dinner

 

WHO- Adult volunteers in the Northwest District and their spouses/friends. (Please no youth)

 


WHAT - Annual Awards Dinner where we recognize excellent volunteer leaders in the Northwest District who make scouting wicked awesome. 


WHERE - Twin Oaks Restaurant, 100 Sabra Street Cranston, RI 02910


WHY - This is a great opportunity to reconnect with your favorite Scouters and recognize them for their hard work in the NW District. We'll be honoring several attendees and units for making Scouting terrific. This year, we will be recognizing the following recipients with these awards:

Northwest District Award of Merit: Florence Stevens (Troop 1/Pack 1 Pascoag) and Leo Grenier (Troop 12 Berkeley-Ashton)

Captain George Bucklin Award: Holly Stowik (Pack 64 Saylesville)

Scoutmaster of the Year (Girl Troop): Laurianne Whelan (Troop 222 Woonsocket)

Scoutmaster of the Year (Boy Troop): Jack Stephens (Troop 1 North Scituate)

Cubmaster of the Year: Sharon Gregory (Pack 28 Pawtucket)

Pack Committee Chair of the Year: Jan Zukowski (Pack 6 Cranston)

Boy Troop Committee Chair of the Year: Kenneth Tavares (Troop 1122 Uxbridge)

Girl Troop Committee Chair of the Year: Patsy Sutherland (Troop 222 Woonsocket)

BSA Scouter of the Year: Catherine Duclos (Troop 711G Albion)

Cub Scouter of the Year: Christopher Raimond (Pack 3144 Blackstone)

Pack of the Year: Pack 1 North Scituate

Troop of the Year: Troop 66 Garden City

Chartered Organization of the Year: Divine Mercy RC Parish

Northwest District Key 3 Award: To be announced at our dinner!

 

We also will be recognizing our Packs who crossed over 100% of their AOL eligible scouts as well as those who achieved membership growth year-over-year. Those Packs will be receiving a congratulatory email with an invitation to be recognized!

In addition, we will be awarding our dedicated leaders who completed the various training awards they applied for with their items of completion!


WHEN - May 8th, 2024

Check-in 6-6:30pm

Dinner/Program - 6:30pm - 8:00pm


HOW - Register online before May 5th,2024

COST - $40 per person

  • Dress attire for this event is business casual. Scout uniform is optional. 
  • This event takes the place of the May Roundtable.
