Are you new to your Scouting role, interested in getting more involved as a leader, or have yet to participate in an in-person leader development program for your Scouting position? How effectively you influence the lives of youth comes down to your ability to do something new that makes a difference or deliver better than you did before and the feeling of satisfaction from such Scouting accomplishments.

Choose from one of three courses geared to your role or interests:
Cub Leader Development (Cubmasters, Assistant Cubmasters and Den Leaders)
You will learn:
- The knowledge and skills you need to carry out the duties of your position successfully.
- Practical age-appropriate ways to deliver on the aims and methods of Scouting.
- The basics of childhood development and how to best work with your Cub Scouts.
- The special ingredients for conducting great Cub Scout Pack meetings and den meetings.
- The ins and outs of advancement.
- Generating enthusiasm with your youth and their adult partners.
- What to focus on moving forward, and much more.
Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Development
You will learn:
- Proven techniques for leading an outstanding Scouts BSA Troop, including effective methods for providing coaching, support, and leadership to Scouts.
- How to meet the aims of Scouting at the next level.
- Ways to have great troop meetings that keep Scouts engaged.
- Approaches for leveraging the patrol method for maximum impact.
- Methods for inspiring youth advancement and development.
- Tips for creating an unforgettable outdoor program, and much more.
Committee Member Leader Development
(Pack and Troop Committee Chairs and Committee Members)
You will learn:
- How to effectively support your unit’s focus on the aims and methods of Scouting.
- Useful insights into optimizing unit structure, including the unit key three and unit committee.
- Best practices for conducting meaningful committee meetings with high participation.
- Ideal ways to manage unit finances, annual program planning, budgeting and charter renewal.
- Techniques for involving more adults as committee volunteers and much more.
- BONUS SESSION: Essential information for delivering a safe program, including properly hosting activities, what’s permissible and prohibited, and the latest BSA rules and regulations to be aware of.
